What I am working on now…

I am a Pediatric Hospitalist, a doctor who specializes in the care of hospitalized children, practicing a little over 15 miles South of Chicago. Here are some thing I am working on in no particular order:

• 🔨 Building within Epic as part of the Physician Builders Group at my hospital
• Redesigning our inpatient notes to improve EHR workflows
• Treating all things sepsis as the Sepsis Committee Physician Co-Director
• Serving as pediatric lead for a project integrating clinical pathways into our Epic EHR
• Co-chairing our hospital’s Pathway Workgroup Committee, reviewing and publishing the excellent work of our healthcare team
• Simulating code blue scenarios for our residents as the Residency Simulation Lead
• Volunteering to test all things AI that our hospital system is rolling out—currently:
  • AI scribes
  • AI-generated hospital course summaries
• Raising an 18-month-old son 😮
